Easter Update 2015

Fundraising Fun!

Photo8On Friday 12th December 2014, everyone at Bournmoor Primary School helped to spread a little Christmas sparkle, by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day, in aid of the fantastic Save the Children charity. Well done everyone!

Photo5We worked with the classes to organise a red nose day sale and an exciting non-uniform day with a twist, following the theme ‘make your face funny for money’. Although we didn’t find a golden nose in our school, we had a great time raising lots of money for Comic Relief!

Photo1Thank you to everyone who took part in these fabulous fundraising events. Already we are busy organising a Marie Curie fundraising event for the Summer Term. Please post your ideas in the suggestion box!

New Play Equipment

Photo3We have recently worked with the Lunchtime Supervisors to choose some exciting new play equipment that can be enjoyed by everyone. We had to study the catalogues carefully, choose the best prices and stick to our budget.

Sainsbury’s Vouchers

Photo6Yes, it really is that time of the year again! Please send in your Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers to help us to get lots of super new equipment for our school!

Behaviour Project

Photo7We are about to embark on a new and exciting project, evaluating the behaviour systems, charts and rewards that are used in each classroom. We have asked children to complete questionnaires to collect pupils’ views and opinions. Keep checking our School Council page for updates with our behaviour project.

Being Responsible Citizens

Photo2Some of the School Councillors and other pupils recently completed a litter pick of our school grounds. This helped us all to realise the importance of keeping our environment clean and healthy. We want everyone in our school to develop strong anti-litter behaviours and share these with friends and families to reduce the amount of litter. We felt so strongly about the issue that we even asked Mrs Snowdon if we could order some litter-pickers for our school.

Your Suggestions

Photo4We try to check the suggestion box as much as we can and discuss all the comments and ideas as a group. We have a meeting organised with Mrs Snowdon for early in the Summer Term to discuss your great ideas. We will give you an update in assembly soon. Keep posting!
